Jayden Daniels, QB for the Washington Commanders, has had a standout season thus far!
After just 4 weeks of regular season games, Daniels has already broken rookie records including setting a new record within a single game for completions by having a 91.3% completion rate in the week 3 game against the Bengals.
The record breaking continued into week 4, with Daniels setting two new records and breaking a record previously held by the recently retired Tom Brady. Daniels’ completion rate in week 4 was 87%, giving him an overall completion rate of 82.1%. This percentage beats Tom Brady’s record of 79.2% in 2007.
At the conclusion of week 4, Daniels became the first quarterback in NFL history to have two consecutive games with a completion percentage of 85% or higher, with a minimum of 15 attempts in each game.
Daniels also broken another record previously held by Tom Brady: the highest completion percentage through the first four games of a season in NFL history, with a minimum of 75 attempts.
This is exactly the type of start you want to see from a second overall NFL draft pick. Let’s hope he continues with his impressive playing abilities further into the season.
